Description
The Moulin de Sergolle Saint-Émilion Grand Cru is produced near Saint-Émilion where the ancient Moulin de Sergolle once dominated a plateau with clay and limestone soils that benefit from excellent exposure.
The grapes are hand-harvested when they reach optimal ripeness, and then selected again in the winery. The winemaking process follows with controlled temperature fermentation, including a 72-hour cold pre-fermentation, and aging in French oak barrels for 18 months.
With an intense ruby red color, it offers delicate aromas of plum, cherry, and blackberry, refined by subtle notes of leather, sweet tobacco, and black pepper. Balanced and direct, it expresses the richness of the fruit and a refreshing acidic tension for a soft tannin and a very persistent finish.
Elegant and profound, it is perfect for braised or grilled red meats and main courses with mushrooms and truffle.
