Description

The Grand Cru 1er Grand Cru Classé B is produced by Château Pavie Macquin, which takes its name from its founder, Albert Macquin. Today the property manages 15 hectares of vineyards with organic farming.

The grapes are vinified separately, partly in large open oak barrels, partly in concrete. The refinement takes place for 70% of the wine in new French oak barrels for 18 months.

Ruby red in color with purple hues, the nose opens onto a complex bouquet of plum compote, spices, coffee and tobacco. The sip is structured, elegant, with very fine tannins and a long finish.

Ideal in combination with stewed red meats, including game and aged cheeses.
