Description
Château Monbousquet is a Grand Cru Classé made south-west of the city of Saint-Émilion from an estate that extends over 32 hectares with extremely diversified soils including sandy, clayey and gravelly and their combinations.
The Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes that compose it are harvested manually from vines with an average age of 38 years. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. Aging takes place for 18-24 months in new oak barrels, with decanting every 3 months.
Ruby red in color, it opens on the nose with aromas of ripe cherries, fig jam, cloves and other spices. It is a medium-bodied wine, rich and concentrated, characterized by beautiful fruit.
It pairs perfectly with red meats such as beef and lamb but also does not disdain recipes based on game, in particular deer and roe deer.
