Description

The Grand Cru 1er Grand Cru Classé B is produced by Château La Gaffelière, one of the oldest Château of Bordeaux, dating back to 1400.

The Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are vinified for whole berry parcel in thermo-regulated steel vats, while the malolactic fermentation takes place in French oak barrels. The wine ages in French oak vats and barrels for 15 months, 60% new.

Ruby red in color with purple hues, the nose opens with a bouquet of fragrant blueberries and plums, undergrowth and graphite. The taste is elegant, with silky tannins and a persistent and multifaceted finish.

Ideal in combination with stewed and roasted red meats, as well as with aged cheeses.
