Description
The Ruché di Castagnole Monferrato Limpronta di Montalbera comes from vingeti located in the municipality of Castagnole Monferrato, in the province of Asti.
It mainly derives from Ruchè and Barbera grapes, harvested by hand. Vinification is carried out traditionally in red, with a short pre-fermentative cold maceration and a short hot maceration even at the end of the fermentation. Maturation is carried out in selected fine grain French oak tonneaux "grande resérve" for 10-14 months, then for 2 months in steel and finally in the bottle for at least 6 months.
Ruby red in color tending to garnet, it opens to the nose with intense hints of berries, followed by pleasing references to oriental spices and black pepper. The taste shows a wine of character, powerful, with a finish of great persistence.
Perfect with first courses with meat sauce, it is excellent in the company of roasts and aged cheeses.
