Description
The Rosso di Montepulciano Prugnolo is a wine produced by Podere Boscarelli, a Tuscan winery founded in 1962. Located in the Cervognano di Montepulciano area, this wine is born from the passion and vision of the Corradi family, who have successfully enhanced the territory and its native grape varieties. The vineyards extend over alluvial limestone soils, with a composition of sand, silt, and clay that gives the wine elegance and structure.
Made from a blend of Sangiovese Prugnolo Gentile and a small percentage of Mammolo, it is vinified with fermentation in steel tanks, using indigenous yeasts and controlled temperatures between 27 and 30 degrees. During fermentation, pumpovers and manual cap management are performed. The wine then matures for several months in vitrified concrete tanks, where it undergoes malolactic fermentation, before being lightly filtered and bottled.
With a bright ruby red color, it offers a harmonious bouquet with hints of red fruit, delicate spices, and light floral notes. On the palate, it is fresh and soft, with a pleasant structure and balanced tannins that enhance its drinkability and elegance.
It pairs perfectly with traditional Tuscan dishes, such as pastas dressed with flavorful sauces, grilled or stewed white and red meats.
