Description
The Rosso di Montepulciano of the Canneto company is born on the western hills of Montepulciano, near the church of San Biagio. The company was bought in 1987 by a group of friends from Zurich, admirers of Montepulciano wines, who over the years have built a new cellar and new machinery. The company has 30 hectares of vineyards, 16 of which are dedicated to the production of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano.
Following manual harvesting, the grapes undergo soft crushing and destemming, followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 29 ° C, with the addition of selected yeasts. Maceration on the skins lasts 14 days.
In the glass the wine appears intense ruby red. On the nose there are fragrant notes of violet, ripe red fruit and a slight spiciness. The taste is warm and dry, with a good persistence.
Ideal in combination with the typical soups of bread, legumes and vegetables of Tuscan cuisine, but also with pasta with meat sauce and white meats, even grilled.
