Description
Rosso di Montalcino di Quercecchio originates in the locality of the same name, located in the southern part of the municipality of Montalcino, on the slope that slopes down towards the Maremma.
The wine is made exclusively from Sangiovese grapes harvested by hand. The grapes are de-stemmed and pressed in thermo-regulated steel vats, where fermentation and frequent pumping over also take place. The wine is then aged in 20-30 hl oak barrels for one year.
Ruby red in color, it reveals to the nose a bouquet of fruity aromas, raspberries, cherries, undergrowth, violets and spices. The taste is soft, with dense and vigorous tannins.
Amazing in the company of pasta with meat sauce, dishes with truffles and red meats.
