Description

The Rosso di Montalcino from Tenuta di Collosorbo is a fresh and velvety red wine, produced with Sangiovese grapes from both vineyards intended for Brunello and more recent plantings in the areas of Tuscany.

The harvest is done by hand, with a careful selection of the best grapes. After a soft pressing and destemming, the must ferments at a controlled temperature with frequent pumping over. Maceration takes place over a medium length, with regular tastings to determine the ideal moment for racking. The refinement continues in Slavonian and French oak barrels for about a year, followed by a further period in the bottle.

On the nose, intense fruity aromas emerge, while on the palate this wine reveals a solid structure and good persistence. The tannins are well integrated and give it a lively and harmonious character, making it pleasant and versatile.

This Rosso di Montalcino pairs perfectly with grilled meat dishes and semi-mature cheeses.
