Description
Rosso di Montalcino di Poggio Landi is a wine that comes from 18-25 year old vineyards spread over clayey soils rich in marl, with south, south-west exposure.
It is made from pure Sangiovese grapes. The must obtained from the pressing of the grapes ferments spontaneously in steel by indigenous yeasts, at a controlled temperature, for 15 days. The subsequent refinement develops first in large, not toasted French oak barrels for a period of 12 months and then, once the bottling operation is completed, directly in glass for another 90 days.
It reveals itself in the glass with a ruby red color. The nose offers a bouquet with elegant hints of wild berries. The taste is soft and fresh, with a persistent finish of excellent drinkability.
Excellent for enlivening lunches based on first courses and second courses of red meat, it goes well with the cured meats of the Tuscan gastronomic tradition.
