Description

A wine that originates from Castelnuovo dell'Abate, in the valley of the Orcia river. Brunello's little brother, the most authentic expression of Sangiovese in purity, is celebrated in this Rosso di Montalcino: a love that never ends, from the first to the last glass.

The grapes ripen slowly and, when the perfect moment is reached, are harvested strictly by hand: in the cellar, a new selection process awaits them, for a wine that gives maximum pleasure. Vinification is carried out after spontaneous fermentation in wooden barrels. Then, it stays for 24 months in Slavonian oak barrels and another 6 months in bottle.

It enchants the view with its intense ruby red color, while it seduces the nose with strong hints of black cherry, bitter cherry and cedar wood. It envelops the palate with its hints of fruit embellished with balanced and dry tannins, closing in a dark chocolate and blackberry finish.

It marries wonderfully all red meats, especially if grilled or roasted. Excellent with a steak and game, it is the best wine to accompany a mushroom or truffle risotto, as well as a typical seasoned mountain cheese.
