Description
Rosso di Montalcino di Mastrojanni comes from Poderi San Pio and Loreto, located in the Sienese municipality of Montalcino known for being the home of choice for the renowned Brunello.
It is made from Sangiovese grapes only, which ferment in steel at a controlled temperature. Subsequently the wine remains to refine its organoleptic characteristics for 6-7 months in Allier oak barrels and for a further 3 months in bottle.
In the glass it is tinged with an intense ruby red color, with violet reflections. The nose is intriguing, with hints of sour cherry, raspberry and black cherry. In the mouth it is pleasantly sapid and tannic.
It goes well with meat dishes, especially with grilled red meat. It can also be a whole meal wine.
