Description
Lisini's Rosso di Montalcino originates in Sant'Angelo in Colle, near Montalcino, in the same vineyards from which the better known Brunello comes to life.
It is produced exclusively from Sangiovese Grosso grapes, harvested by hand in plastic boxes with careful selection of the bunches. The must ferments for 18-24 days in vitrified cement tanks, at a temperature between 28 and 30°C. The wine obtained is then aged for 6 months in Slavonian oak barrels and for another 3 months in steel and in bottles before being placed on the market.
Lisini's Rosso di Montalcino appears ruby red in colour. The nose opens with a characteristic and intense bouquet, with aromas ranging from cherry to blackberry, well integrated with balsamic and violet sensations. On the palate it is warm and dry, slightly tannic.
It goes well with first courses but also with white meats.
