Description
Rosso di Montalcino di Col d'Orcia comes from vineyards located on the Sant'Angelo in Colle hill overlooking the Orcia river, in the heart of the municipality of Montalcino.
It is produced exclusively with Sangiovese grapes, harvested only by hand and grown organically. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 28 ° C for around 10-12 days. Subsequently the wine ages in Salvonia oak barrels for 12 months and for a further period in the bottle before being placed on the market.
This Rosso di Montalcino is characterized by an intense ruby red color, with violet reflections. The nose opens with intense and elegant hints of ripe red fruits, enriched with pleasant spicy notes. On the palate it is warm and pleasantly full-bodied, with soft and elegant tannins. The wine has a long, persistent and fruity aftertaste.
To be consumed in the first 5 years of life, this great Rosso di Montalcino proves perfect to accompany red meats, game and mature cheeses.
