Description

The Rosso di Montalcino of the Col di Lamo company is born on the hills around Montalcino. The company, all female, extends for about 80 hectares, in which the vineyards follow a certified organic regime.

The grapes of Vigna Colombaio are de-stemmed and vinified with indigenous yeasts, with a long maceration at a controlled temperature and frequent pumping over. The wine is aged for one year in Slavonian oak barrels and for 3 months in the bottle.

Intense ruby red color with purple hues, hints of violets and fresh red fruit stand out on the nose. The taste is fresh and balanced, with tannins present and good structure.

To be combined with pasta with meat sauce and roast with potatoes.
