Description
The Rosso di Montalcino from the Caprili winery, owned by the Bartolommei family, present in Montalcino since the beginning of the century and which still today cultivates vineyards in the Podere Caprili, on the southwest slope of the famous Tuscan hill. The vineyards are located near Santa Restituta, at an altitude of about 300 meters above sea level, with sunny south-west exposure and a mild climate which favors excellent ripening of the grapes.
At the end of the harvest, fermentation with indigenous yeasts takes place and maceration on the skins for 15-18 days. Before bottling, the wine matures in concrete tanks.
It has an intense ruby red color with rich aromas of ripe cherries. The palate is elegant, with well integrated tannins.
To be combined with cold cuts appetizers, pasta with meat sauce, lasagna and grilled red meat.
