Description
Rosso di Montalcino di Argiano is a wine that comes from soils made up of young clays of an alluvial nature and limestone marl, from vineyards between 12 and 22 years of age placed at a height of 280-310 meters above sea level.
It is produced with hand-harvested grapes in early September. The clusters of Sangiovese only carry out a pre-fermentation maceration at a low temperature. Spontaneous fermentation is carried out with maceration on the skins for about 10 days in steel at a controlled temperature, at the end of which the wine matures for a few months in French and Slavonian oak barrels.
It shows a bright ruby red color, with strong hints of cherry and minerals on the nose. In the mouth it is smooth and fresh, with a well-embroidered tannin in the constantly evolving texture.
It goes well with pasta with meat sauce, game and grilled red meats.
