Description
Rosso di Montalcino di Banfi comes from vineyards located on the hills of the southern slope of the municipality of Montalcino.
It comes from a careful selection of Sangiovese grapes, which ferment in steel and wood vats at controlled temperature, with maceration on the skins for 7-10 days. The wine ages for 10-12 months partly in barrique and partly in large oak barrels, after which it stops for a further 6 months in bottle.
It is characterized by an intense ruby red color with purple hues. The nose highlights fresh notes of red berry fruit that are intertwined with hints of violet typical of the Sangiovese variety. In the mouth it is elegant and soft, with a remarkable persistence of taste.
Perfect in combination with game dishes and medium-aged cheeses.
