Description
Rosso di Montalcino Casalino di Bonacchi is produced on the Sienese hills. The vineyards surrounding the farm grow on land composed mainly of alberese and marl. The logo on the label, representing oak leaves, is a tribute to the artist Jacopo della Quercia, who lived in the 1400s and was born in the nearby town of Quercegrossa.
Composed exclusively of Sangiovese grapes, the grapes are vinified in steel tanks at a controlled temperature, to then be aged in large oak barrels.
In the glass the wine has an intense ruby red colour. The nose reveals aromas of violets, ripe red fruit, in addition to the vanilla notes coming from the aging in wood. The sip is fresh and balanced, with a persistent finish.
Rosso di Montalcino Casalino di Bonacchi is ideal in combination with pasta with meat sauce, stewed game and aged cheeses.
