Description
The Vertigo wine was born in the vineyards of the famous Livio Felluga company, Friulian excellence located in the province of Gorizia.
It is produced with a cleverly studied blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, harvested during the first ten days of October. After the destemming and crushing processes, the must is left to ferment with maceration on the skins in stainless steel tanks, at controlled temperature. Subsequently, the wine ages for 12 months in steel and in small oak barrels, where it stabilizes all the organoleptic characteristics. Ageing in bottle follows.
Livio Felluga's Vertigo has an almost impenetrable purplish red color. The nose opens with an intriguing scent of plum, fig, persimmon and blackberry, which is accompanied by spicy sensations of nutmeg and tobacco leaves. On the palate, it is powerful and elegant, with fruity aromas of pomegranate and Granny Smith apple that fade towards a more bitter and nutty finish.
Perfect with savoury first courses, red meats, roasts and medium-aged cheeses.
