Description
This Romagna Sangiovese Superiore Riserva is part of the premium Romio line of the Caviro cooperative. It is born in the northern area of Romagna, from vineyards that insist on clayey soils.
The grapes that give life to this successful blend, between Sangiovese and Syrah, are hand-picked and fermented in steel at a temperature of 25-26 ° C for 10 days. Malolactic fermentation follows and maturation takes place half in barrels for 12 months and half in steel.
It shows a ruby red color with an intriguing orange streak. It smells of cherry and morello cherry, berries, violets and wild herbs. On the palate it is vibrant, fresh and fruity.
Excellent to combine with a leg of lamb, it is sublime in the company of a rich platter of aged cheeses.
