Description
One of the most prestigious wines of the Castelli Romani, the Roma Rosso DOC by Cantina Federici is a blend of Montepulciano and Cesanese. Wine coming from volcanic soils, thanks to the exposure and the night breezes collected from the hilly areas, it preserves freshness and great articulation on the palate.
This wine is affected by a prolonged maceration in contact with the skins and a refinement of at least 7 months on the lees completely in steel to enhance the varietal character of the single grape variety.
Ruby red of great consistency, it has an enveloping aromatic range of jam blueberries and blackberries on the nose, floral tones of violet, with nuances of black pepper and cinchona, liquorice and cardamom emerge in the background. Tasting in the name of Mediterranean warmth in excellent balance between the pulpy consistency and fresh verve, tannin present but not invasive, with a long spicy persistence.
Perfect with structured meat dishes such as lamb on the spit.
