Description

The Roero Riserva Ròche d'Ampsèj di Correggia comes from the homonymous vineyard characterized geologically by a mixture of sand, silt and clay.

It is produced with 100% Nebbiolo grapes, harvested manually between the beginning and the middle of the month of October. Fermentation takes place partly in steel for 10-12 days and partly in wood for 45-60 days. The wine is raised for at least 16 months in large and small barrels, followed by a further 2 years of aging in bottle.

Correggia's Ròche d'Ampsèj is a wine with an intense ruby red color, with garnet reflections. On the nose it releases light floral aromas of rose and cyclamen, accompanied by pleasantly fruity and spicy notes. The taste is soft and voluminous, supported by a thick tannic texture and a pulpy and persistent consistency.

Indicated in the company of braised and stewed meats, it is perfect to combine with aged cheeses.
