Description
The Rioja Tempranillo 875m Finca Carbonera El Coto is produced in the renowned Rioja region. The vine grows on a glacier at an altitude of 875 meters, making it one of the highest vineyards in the area. This position favors a notable accumulation of stones on the surface, contributing to the optimal ripening of the grapes.
The manual harvest and delicate transport of the grapes to the cellar precede a process of alcoholic fermentation during which gentle extractions take place to preserve the delicate aromatic components of Tempranillo. Malolactic fermentation follows in barriques, with a further 9-month refinement in new American and French oak barriques.
This wine is characterized by its intensity and freshness, with good acidity and delicate aromas of cherry and red fruit that blend with notes of mocha and cocoa, culminating in a long and balsamic finish.
It pairs beautifully with grilled red meats, cured meats and mature cheeses.
