Description
Rioja Reserva Remelluri is a blend of Tempranillo, Garnacha, Graciano grapes, coming from Labastida in Álava and San Vicente de la Sonsierra. The vineyards grow on clay-limestone soils, with sandstone and marl substrates. The vineyard has an average age of 40 years.
The harvest takes place manually between the end of October and the beginning of November. Natural fermentation with indigenous yeasts takes place in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged for 20-21 months in oak barrels of various sizes.
This wine has an intense ruby red color and reveals aromas of ripe fruit such as cherries and plums on the nose, together with toasted and spicy nuances. In the mouth the wine is pleasantly fresh, with well-levitated tannins and returns of oak in the finish.
It pairs perfectly with first courses, game, mature cheeses and red meats.
