Description
The Rioja Reserva Coto de Imaz El Coto is produced exclusively with Tempranillo grapes in the prestigious DOCa region. Rioja.
The fermentation of this wine takes place in stainless steel tanks, with maceration lasting up to 18 days and frequent pumping over. This is followed by an aging period of at least 18 months in American oak barriques, with subsequent refinement in the bottle for at least another 18 months. This maturation process contributes greatly to the complexity and structure of the wine.
Visually it presents a cherry color with garnet reflections. On the nose, powerful and complex aromas of ripe fruit and cocoa reveal themselves. In the mouth, the wine is fleshy and powerful, with a velvety texture, ripe tannins and good acidity that gives freshness.
This wine is particularly suitable for accompanying game, red meats, cured meats and mature cheeses.
