Description
Paso las Mañas is a red wine from Rioja, Spain, produced by Artuke, Bodegas y Viñedos, and is made with 100% Tempranillo grapes. The vines are grown on calcareous soils with sand and pebbles.
The vinification takes place in wooden containers, followed by a 14-month refinement in used French oak barrels. This process allows to preserve the varietal characteristics of Tempranillo, giving the wine a balanced and complex structure.
It has a bright and consistent ruby red color. On the nose it offers intense fruity notes of ripe red berries, enriched by smoky nuances, hints of undergrowth, spices and delicate aromatic herbs. On the palate it is fresh and fruity, with a medium body, good acidity and fine tannins, accompanied by spicy and undergrowth notes.
This red wine pairs perfectly with grilled meats or aged cheeses.
