Rioja DOCa La Condenada 2019 Bodegas Artuke

La Condenada is a red wine with character produced by the Bodegas y Viñedos Artuke winery, located in the Rioja Alavesa region. Made from a blend of Tempranillo, Graciano, Palomino and Garnacha Tinta grapes, it comes from an old vineyard planted in 1920 on sandy soils with a sandstone subsoil, located at an altitude of 520 meters.

The grapes are hand-picked in crates, carefully selected and fermented in a small tank with daily punching down. After malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels, the wine is aged for 14 months in French oak foudre. Bottled without stabilization and with a light filtration, this wine expresses and enhances the purity of the fruit and the terroir.

On the nose it offers intense aromas of ripe black fruit, enriched with earthy notes, licorice and spices. On the palate it presents itself with a pleasant volume, well-integrated tannins, slightly rustic and a long and persistent finish. It is an elegant wine, with a delicate mineral note that adds freshness to the overall structure.

This red wine pairs perfectly with mature cheeses, red meats and game.
