Description
Granja Remelluri Gran Reserva is made mainly from Tempranillo grapes, supported by additions of Garnacha, Graciano and other black grape varieties from the Labastida area in Álava and San Vicente de la Sonsierra.
The harvest is carried out entirely by hand. The must ferments spontaneously with indigenous yeasts in open wooden barrels. This is followed by 28 months of aging in barrels of different sizes which allows the wine to develop considerable complexity.
It has an intense ruby red color. Notes of ripe red fruit emerge on the nose, accompanied by nuances of sweet spices and a slightly toasted background. On the palate it is robust and harmonious, with well-integrated tannins and a persistent finish.
This wine goes perfectly with roast red meats, lamb dishes and mature cheeses.
