Description
The Rioja Gran Reserva Coto de Imaz El Coto is a refined blend of Tempranillo and Graciano, produced in the renowned La Rioja region from an over 50-year-old vineyard that the company owns in Cenicero.
The vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks for 21-30 days, with a calibrated maceration to achieve a perfect balance between the fruitiness and the extract of the wine. The aging of this wine extends for a minimum of 24 months in American and French oak barriques, followed by a further refinement of at least 36 months in the bottle.
Visually it presents a brilliant ruby color with garnet shades. On the nose, it opens with a mature and elegant aromatic profile, which subtly evolves to reveal toasted and coconut notes, followed by tertiary aromas such as leather and damp earth, as well as red fruit and dried fruit. In the mouth, the tanins are round and well placed, with a complex and persistent aftertaste.
This wine is ideal for accompanying dishes such as roast lamb, red meats and game.
