Description

The Rioja Chardonnay 875m Finca Carbonera El Coto comes from the Chardonnay vineyard located in Finca Carbonera, at an altitude of 875 meters, one of the highest in Rioja. The glacial soil with an abundant presence of stones on the surface favors optimal ripening and health of the grapes.

The winemaking process of this Chardonnay begins with destemming followed by cold maceration and gentle pressing, aimed at avoiding exposure to oxygen. Alcoholic fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature in new, steam-treated French oak barriques. After fermentation, the wine undergoes periodic battonage to increase its fruitiness, complexity and creaminess, extending its longevity.

The result is a wine that retains the fruity and floral aromas typical of Chardonnay, with a marked aromatic complexity. Notes of tropical fruit such as pineapple combine with a delicate vanilla aroma.

This wine pairs beautifully with fish-based dishes such as fish soup, fried fish, oily fish and seafood. Offering a perfect match for rich and intense dishes.
