Description

The Blanco Gran Reserva from Remírez de Ganuza is a white wine produced exclusively with Viura grapes from the Olagar vineyard, located in San Vicente de la Sonsierra at an altitude of 600 meters, in the Rioja region. This vineyard, planted in 1978, extends over 1.45 hectares and benefits from excellent exposure on a calcareous-clayey soil.

The harvest is manual, followed by a manual selection of the grapes and the fermentation of the free-run must, obtained without pressing. The wine is aged for 10 months in new French oak barrels, in contact with the fine lees, with a processing method that involves manual rotation of the barrels instead of the traditional bâtonnage. This process enhances the aromatic complexity of the wine, preserving its freshness.

Straw yellow in color with golden reflections, this wine offers intense aromas of ripe white fruit, citrus and light toasted notes to the nose. On the palate it is elegant and complex, with a good structure and a balance between freshness and softness, thanks to the prolonged contact with the lees. The finish is long and persistent, with a mineral aftertaste.

This white wine pairs perfectly with fish dishes, shellfish and white meats.
