Description
Viña Real Crianza is a red wine produced in the Rioja Alavesa region, using mainly Tempranillo grapes with a small percentage of Garnacha, Mazuelo and Graciano. The grapes come from owned vineyards in Laguardia and from trusted suppliers in the area, grown on small plots with a variety of soils and altitudes, between 400 and 650 meters. The harvest is carried out manually.
After destemming, the grapes are transferred to stainless steel tanks for alcoholic fermentation, which lasts 10-11 days at a controlled temperature between 26-28℃. Once the malolactic fermentation is completed, the wine is aged in French and American oak barrels for 13-14 months, with decanting every 5-6 months to promote maturation and organoleptic development.
The wine has a garnet color with violet reflections. On the nose it has a great aromatic intensity with berries such as blackberries and wild blueberries, black licorice and aromas of vanilla and nutmeg from barrel aging. On the palate it has a soft entry, with a balance between ripe tannins and freshness typical of this wine. The finish is long and persistent with notes of red fruits and sweet spices.
This wine is recommended with Mediterranean cuisine.
