Description

Bodega Vivanco's Reserva red wine is produced in Rioja from indigenous grape varieties. The label is Juan Gris's "Naturaleza Muerta" work of art, in which the careful and elegant technique reflects the character of this wine for the cellar.

The wine is mainly composed of Tempranillo grapes with a small percentage of Graciano grapes. Each variety is hand-picked between mid and late October. The grapes are first of all refrigerated for 24 hours. Subsequently they undergo soft pressing and are transferred to small French oak vats, where maceration (20 days) and fermentation take place, with delicate pumping over. The wine then ages for 24 months in new and second passage French and American oak barrels and ends with an aging in bottle for at least 24 months.

Intense red color with garnet reflections, the wine opens to the nose with complex aromas of ripe cherries, blackberries, cinnamon and sage, as well as mineral notes. The sip is complex and enveloping, with an elegant and persistent finish.

It goes well with red meats and roasted and stewed game, as well as dishes with mushrooms and aged cheeses.
