Description
The Crianza by Bodega Vivanco red wine is produced in Rioja from indigenous grape varieties. The label is Joan Miró's "Troubadour" work of art, in which the freshness of his brushstrokes and colours reflect the character of this wine.
The wine is mainly composed of Tempranillo grapes with a small percentage of Maturana Tinta and Graciano grapes. Each variety is hand-picked between early and mid-October. The grapes are first refrigerated for 36 hours. Subsequently they undergo soft pressing and are transferred to small French oak vats, where maceration (20 days) and fermentation take place, with delicate pumping over. The wine then ages for 16 months in French (60%) and American (40%) oak barrels and ends with an ageing in bottle for at least 6 months.
Intense red colour with violet reflections, the wine opens to the nose with aromas of red fruits, licorice and spices, with toasted and smoky notes. The sip is fresh and round, with an elegant and persistent finish.
It goes well with legume soups, first courses and grilled red and white meats.
