Description
Baron de Ley's Rioja Blanco is the result of a skilful combination of grape varieties such as Viura, Garnacha Blanca and Tempranillo Blanco coming from different areas of Rioja, distinct in terms of soil and climate characteristics. The Tempranillo Blanco vineyards, located at high altitude, benefit from ideal natural conditions to produce fresh white wines with an elegant, crisp acidity. Garnacha Blanca, grown on the Los Almendros estate in Rioja Oriental, benefits from a Mediterranean climate and sandy-limestone soils with limestone gravel, giving the wine fresh, fruity notes. The Viura, coming from the Arenzana area in Rioja Alta, completes this blend with its typical creaminess, contributing to the perfect roundness of the wine.
The winemaking is carried out with maceration and fermentation at low temperature in concrete tanks under controlled conditions.
The result is a wine with a pale straw yellow color with greenish reflections. On the nose it offers a combination of aromatic herbs, dill and coriander, combined with hints of lime and grapefruit. On the palate it is a tense and fresh wine, balanced and creamy.
It is the ideal accompaniment for fish or seafood dishes, but it also does not disdain the spicy dishes of Indian or Mexican cuisine.
