Description
Malleolus de Valderramiro is a red wine produced in Ribera del Duero, in the town of Pesquera de Duero, Spain, by Bodegas Emilio Moro. This wine takes its name from the Pago de Valderramiro, a plot of clay soil planted in 1924; the grape variety used for this label is Tempranillo.
Alcoholic fermentation lasts 26 days in small stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures, followed by malolactic fermentation for 30 days in American and French oak barrels, where the wine ages and develops complexity.
It has a very dark garnet color. On the nose it is expressive and ripe, with notes of high quality black fruit and balsamic and lactic accents. On the palate it is intense but balanced, with great persistence and structure.
This red wine pairs perfectly with red meat dishes, game or mature cheeses.
