Description

A Senda Vermella by Nanclares y Prieto is a blend of Caiño Tinto and Mencia produced in the Rias Baixas region.

After the manual selection of the grapes, the wine transported to the cellar is squeezed with the ancient custom of the feet. After alcoholic fermentation, the malolactic fermentation is conducted for 65% in French oak barrels, while the remainder in steel. It is then aged for 20 months and bottled without clarification with reduced doses of sulfur.

It has a garnet red color and offers hints of red fruits such as blackberry and cherry to the nose, followed by earthy and herbaceous notes that hint at undergrowth and fungus. Compact on the palate and medium-bodied, it has a low alcohol content, is pleasant, light and moderately persistent.

Ideal for pasta sauce and lasagna, it can accompany lean veal and lamb stews.
