Description

The Riesling Trocken Grosses Gewächs Silberlack from Schloss Johannisberg is a prestigious white wine from the vineyards of the Rheingau region. Made entirely from Riesling grapes, this wine expresses the essence of the unique terroir of the Taunus massif, characterized by deep layers of red clay and quartz, which give the wine an extraordinary minerality.

The vinification, following a rigorous selection of the grapes, involves fermentation in steel for the majority of the mass, with a remaining part refined in wooden barrels. The wine then ages for 6 months on the lees, developing depth and intensity.

In the glass it presents itself with an intense and brilliant lemon yellow color. On the nose it releases elegant aromas of fresh white flowers, apricot and nectarine, enriched by mineral notes, lavender and sage. On the palate it is dry, soft and warm, with an explosive fruity-mineral juiciness and a persistent finish characterized by spicy touches and a vibrant fruity freshness.

Perfect as an aperitif, this white wine pairs beautifully with shellfish, molluscs and fresh cheeses.
