Description
The sweet wine Recioto della Valpolicella by Roccolo Grassi originates in a 12-hectare vineyard located in the heart of Valpolicella.
It is made from Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and Croatina grapes, the typical red grapes of Valpolicella, which are dried in a natural way. They are cold macerated for 6-7 days in steel tanks, and then proceed to fermentation at 22-25°C for 30 days. The malolactic fermentation takes place in French oak barrels for 18 months and 24 months in the bottle.
It is characterized by a deep ruby red colour. The nose is expressed with complex aromas of ripe plums, cherry jam, raspberries and currants, tobacco, chocolate and spices. The sip is complex, aromatic, sweet but not cloying and with a long persistence.
Perfect as a meditation wine, it is excellent to accompany creamy desserts with fruit and chocolate.
