Description
Louis Jadot's Puligny-Montrachet, located between Meursault to the south and Chassagne-Montrachet to the north, shares with the latter some of the best white wine vineyards in the world. This area is characterized by calcareous and clayey soils that drain well and heat up easily, ideal for Chardonnay.
The grapes are harvested by hand and delicately pressed, they ferment in oak barriques, a third of which are new, aging for 15 months on the fine lees before bottling.
It has a straw yellow color. The nose opens with elegant notes of citrus, green apple and a touch of minerality, completed by nuances of vanilla and toasting deriving from the passage in wood. These aromas translate into a rich and complex palate, where fresh fruit is balanced by lively acidity and a creamy structure. The finish is long and sophisticated, with a persistence of mineral hints that enhances the purity and elegance typical of the Puligny-Montrachet terroir.
Ideal with refined fish dishes, seafood and creamy cheeses.
