Description
This Primitivo bag-in-box, specially selected by our sommeliers, comes from the best vineyards of Puglia.
Once the perfectly healthy grapes have been brought to the cellar, the must obtained undergoes thermovinification at a controlled temperature in contact with the skins for about 20 days, with frequent punching down and daily pumping over. This is followed by 6 months of aging in wood in new 500-liter oak barrels with weekly batonnage.
In the glass the wine appears of an intense ruby color with purple hues. Pleasant hints of ripe fruit strike the nose, among which plum and Vignola cherry stand out, with a darker final note reminiscent of blackberry. The sip is full-bodied, warm and persistent.
Ideal in combination with baked pasta, roasted red meats, braised meats and aged cheeses.
