Description
Negroamaro-Primitivo di Masseria Ficarigna is a red wine produced in the Puglia region of Italy, obtained from a blend of Negroamaro and Primitivo grapes. Inspired by the symbolic fruit of the prickly pear, the label features a stylized image of a Gargano goat, a goat breed native to Puglia. The vineyards are located on calcareous-clayey soils typical of Salento, characterized by excellent exposure to the sun and good ventilation.
The winemaking process involves fermentation in stainless steel at a controlled temperature of 24-26°C for about 8-10 days, with maceration on the skins to extract color and aromas. The refinement takes place entirely in steel for a period of three months, preserving the freshness of the wine and its fruity character.
It has an intense ruby red color with purple reflections. The bouquet is distinguished by notes of ripe red fruits, such as cherry and plum, enriched by nuances of sweet spices, tobacco and licorice. On the palate it is structured, soft and velvety, with balanced tannins and a long and fruity finish.
This red wine pairs perfectly with red meats, game, robust first courses and mature cheeses, making it ideal for accompanying traditional Apulian cuisine.
