Description
The Puglia Primitivo Don Antonio of the Coppi company was born in vineyards located in the Bari area of Conversano, in Puglia.
It is produced with pure Primitivo grapes, carefully picked and selected by hand in the first half of September. Fermentation takes place following an innovative technique, with carbon maceration for 7-8 days and malolactic fermentation carried out in Slavonian oak barrels. Subsequently the wine ages for 6 months in the same containers and for another 12 months in bottle before being put on the market.
Don Antonio is characterized by a bright purplish red color. The nose has a large and intense fruity bouquet, enriched with elegant spicy notes deriving from the aging in oak and from the same grape. On the palate it is warm and soft, with good harmony and balanced tannins.
Perfect to accompany first courses, risotto and roast turkey, we recommend pairing it with Canadian cheddar cheese soup.
