Description
Terre Forti's Negroamaro Radici d'Italia is an intense red wine originating from the plains and hills of Puglia, Italy. It is produced primarily with Negroamaro grapes, complemented by other local varieties. The vineyards, located at an altitude of up to 300 meters, are grown on clay soils and use training systems such as the Apulian sapling.
The harvest is done by hand in September and October. After harvesting, the grapes are destemmed and pressed using traditional methods. Fermentation takes place in tanks at temperatures of 25-26°C for a period of 10 days, followed by malolactic fermentation. The wine rests in stainless steel tanks for up to 3 months before bottling, maintaining its freshness and aromatic complexity.
Deep red in color with purple highlights, it presents a delicate bouquet on the nose with varietal notes of rose, plums, ripe blackberries and raisins. On the palate it is rich and enveloping, with aromas of black cherry, light notes of coffee and a dense and creamy consistency, characterized by an extraordinary roundness.
It pairs perfectly with crusted lamb chops with potatoes.
