Description
Paolo Leo's Verdeca is a white wine from the Puglia denomination, produced in the province of Brindisi and Bari. This wine is obtained from Verdeca grapes, grown with the Guyot cultivation system on eluvial, calcareous-clayey soils.
The harvest takes place manually between the end of September and the beginning of October. After harvesting, the grapes are destemmed and subjected to soft pressing. The must is fermented at a controlled temperature of 13°C for 10 days and matures for 3 months in steel.
Straw yellow in color with greenish reflections, this Verdeca offers the nose delicate perceptions of apple, white pulp citrus fruits and light flowers. On the palate it stands out for its fresh and savory sip, with a long and elegant finish.
The lively freshness of this wine pairs perfectly with dishes such as stuffed courgettes and grilled swordfish.
