Description

The Wanted Zin Old Vines is a red wine from Primitivo grapes born in Apulia, in Salento, from 40-50 year old vines.

The grapes are harvested at the end of August, to then be de-stemmed and vinified as a whole grape. Fermentation lasts about 8–10 days, before being separated from the skins and left to ferment in thermoregulated steel tanks with the addition of selected yeasts for 10 days. Subsequently, the wine ages on the lees for 3 months in steel and 50% of it ages in American oak barrels for 12 months.

Intense ruby red colour, the nose reveals aromas of cherries, blueberries, coconut and vanilla. The taste is soft and full-bodied, with soft and well balanced tannins. Long finish.

It goes well with main courses of meat with important cooking, as well as aged cheeses.
