Description

Zensa's Nero di Troia is an organic red wine produced in the province of Foggia, in the north of Apulia.

The grapes are harvested in October and destemmed. Fermentation takes place on the whole grape for 10 days in temperature-controlled steel vats. This is followed by malolactic fermentation with lactic bacteria. 30% of the wine is then aged in American oak barriques for 6 months.

Ruby red in colour with violet reflections, the nose reveals aromas of plum, cinnamon, black pepper and tobacco. On the palate, the tannins are present but soft.

Ideal with first courses with meat sauces, grilled meats and mature cheeses.
