Description

This Primitivo di Manduria Riserva Cotis by PietraPura is produced with carefully selected grapes from old vineyards located in the heart of Salento, in Apulia. The name "Cotis" recalls the rocky origins of these lands, which give the wine character and personality. It comes from a centuries-old winemaking tradition, an authentic expression of the territory and its richness.

The grapes, harvested at the perfect ripeness, undergo a temperature-controlled maceration in steel tanks. The wine then matures for at least 12 months in French oak barrels, a process that refines its structure and enhances its aromatic complexity. This process gives the wine depth and a perfect balance between fruit and wood.

Visually, it presents with an intense ruby red color with violet reflections. The bouquet is broad and complex, with enveloping notes of ripe cherries and plums, enriched by elegant hints of cocoa and vanilla. On the palate, it offers a robust structure, characterized by warmth and persistence, with a long and enveloping finish that reveals delicate balsamic nuances.

Perfect for pairing with rich and elaborate dishes, it pairs wonderfully with roasted meats, game, and aged cheeses.
