Description

Villa Santera comes from the vineyards of the famous Leone De Castris company, located on the eastern coasts of Apulia, in the heart of the Primitivo di Manduria DOC.

This wine is produced entirely with Primitivo di Manduria grapes, harvested in the first ten days of September. Maceration and fermentation take place at a temperature of about 20-22 °C, followed by aging in barrels for at least 6 months and for another 3 months in the bottle, before being put on the market.

It has a dark red colour, with purplish features. The nose opens with intense aromas of plum and sour cherries, enriched with spicy notes of ginger and vanilla. On the palate it is warm, full-bodied and endowed with a very pleasant overall silkiness.

To be consumed within the first five years of life, this pure Primitivo is excellent to accompany grilled meat, well-elaborated first courses and aged cheeses.
